After completing his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University, William D. Jones earned his doctor of medicine (MD) from Brown University. He subsequently completed a master of public health and undertook residency training at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City. William D. Jones, MD, is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a member of several state and national medical associations, including the Oklahoma County Medical Society and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Since 1996, Dr. Jones has operated his own private occupational and preventive medicine practice in Oklahoma City, OK. In addition to treating patients, he performs a wide array of administrative duties.

Outside of the professional environment, he serves as the dog show secretary for the Irish Setter Club of Oklahoma. He also sponsors several softball and baseball teams as well as the Angel Foundation at SWAT, a community outreach group that provides equipment and instruction for baseball and softball players who reside in underserved areas of Oklahoma City.
